About Chantal Rickards
Chantal Rickards is the CEO of the British Academy of Film and TV Arts in Los Angeles. She is responsible for the overall management of the non-profit organisation, most especially fundraising and sponsorship. BAFTA is a world-leading independent arts charity that brings the best work in film, games and TV to public attention and supports the growth of creative talent in the UK and internationally. Through its Awards ceremonies and learning events and initiatives – which includes workshops, masterclasses, scholarships, lectures and mentoring schemes in the UK, USA and Asia – BAFTA celebrates excellence, discovers, inspires and nurtures new talent, and enables learning and creative collaboration. Prior to her role in America, Chantal was a TV producer/director in the UK, making shows for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five and Sky. She ran the Carlton Food Network, and lifestyle commissioning at UKTV and worked for WPP’s Group M and MEC as Head of Programming and Branded Content. Her TV credits include MasterChef, Countdown, This Morning and Through the Keyhole.
