Deliveries & Material Handling

DELIVERIES

There are three options for delivering materials to your booth:

  • Shipping in advance to the Freeman Advance Warehouse
  • Sending them directly to the Miami Beach Convention Center for arrival on or after May 5, 25
  • Bringing them with you during load-in on May 6, 25

Shipping covers the transport of materials from another location to either the Advance Warehouse or the Miami Beach Convention Center before the show, as well as the transport of materials from the event venue to another destination after the show.

1. Freeman Advance Warehouse

Ship early to avoid delays and save money by using Freeman’s Advance Warehouse. Your materials will be stored in advance and delivered to your booth, ready for setup on May 6, 25. Freeman will accept crated, boxed, or skidded materials beginning April 7, 25.

Items arriving after April 30, 25, will incur a late fee, and depending on their arrival date, may not reach the venue in time for the event. To avoid delays, please ensure timely shipping.

Note: The warehouse does not accept uncrated freight, hazardous materials, or select items, such as those requiring refrigeration or frozen storage.

Follow this link for further information about how to arrange a shipment to the Freeman Advance Warehouse, including shipping labels.

2. Direct to Show Site

You can ship materials directly to the Miami Beach Convention Center. Freeman will begin accepting shipments at the venue from 8:00 AM on May 5, 25. Shipments arriving before this date may be refused, and any additional charges incurred through the venue will be passed on to you. You may use Freeman Transportation for a streamlined process, or arrange delivery with another courier service of your choice.

If you use a delivery company other than Freeman to ship items to the venue, you will be required to pay a material handling charge for the transportation of items from the delivery vehicle to your booth.

3. Hand Carry

You may carry materials into the exhibition hall by hand via the Main Convention Center Drive West entrance and the Washington Ave East entrance. This option is recommended if you are self-sufficient and have materials packed in an FAA-approved small roller bag, or a limited number of boxes/bins that can be carried by up to two employees.

The use or rental of dollies, flat trucks, carts, and other mechanical equipment is not permitted through pedestrian entrances. These must be brought in via the loading dock, which will incur a material handling charge. Vehicles are not permitted to park on the curbs at the front of the building for unloading. If you choose this option, you must be able to hand-carry your materials from a designated parking area into the venue.

MATERIAL HANDLING

The first two delivery options above require material handling services provided at cost exclusively by Freeman, which includes:

  • Transporting materials from the shipping dock of the Advance Warehouse or Miami Beach Convention Center to your booth
  • Storing empty containers during the show
  • Transporting materials from your booth to the transportation vehicle during load-out

Further information on material handling rates and how to book this service can be found here. Material handling frequently asked questions can be found here.

Ordered Furniture Through Freeman?

You do not need to arrange material handling for items you’ve ordered directly from Freeman. Shipping and material handling of these items is included in the rental price. Furniture will be placed in your booth during load-in, and removed during load-out. Once the show closes, please leave all Freeman furniture within the booth space.
